The core principals to market your spa effectively

Marketing your spa effectively can be a challenge. Sometimes it’s worth going back to the fundamentals in order to build on them successfully. With that in mind, here are five core principals to market your spa or business effectively.

1: Social media and blog

Social media networks are popular, visual and great for instant exposure. Promoting your treatments, imagery and promotions are essential in bringing clients to your spa. Blogs, on the other hand, provide you with the perfect space to expand on in-depth product or treatment knowledge to promote your spa’s unique selling point!

2: Quiet time incentives

Your spa’s quietest times are primed for more clients, providing you give them an incentive. If your mornings are sparse, then perhaps provide a 10% discount for those quieter hours? A gift voucher with every off-peak booking can also do wonders in bringing people back.

3: Promote products

Whilst your main objective is to provide a service, your spa products can provide additional revenue. Make sure your shelves are well-lit and your products are prominently displayed. Your staff can then add the final touches by promoting those products to clients after their treatment, as long as you also give staff an incentive to sell.

4: National holidays

National holidays and seasonal themes provide a fantastic way to inject some fun into your promotions. From Mother’s Day to National Chocolate Day, you can craft tailored packages and social media content to promote your themed treatments. Plenty will be looking to treat their significant other, so why not highlight your seasonal promotions?

5: Provide a newsletter

Monthly newsletters are a great way to keep clients informed of any updates to your spa. It’s also a great way to promote your spa in another medium and keep it at the top of clients’ minds, regularly sent to their inboxes.
