Increase Your Views and Likes on Facebook

Last year Facebook made some significant changes to the way posts on your Facebook business page reaches your consumers which now means if you want your posts to reach a mass scale, you now have to pay for the luxury. Not only has post reach been reduced but Facebook have also put a stop to letting your audience see posts with phrases such as “book now” and “call us today”.

We take a look at how you can improve your reach on Facebook without having to invest financially:

  • Connect. Facebook is all about connecting with people so you don’t want to appear too pushy. Although it’s perfectly acceptable to promote your business, you should also look to publish posts about relevant and interesting content. 1 out of 5 posts should look to self-promote, but use the other 4 posts to focus on content that your followers will find insightful.
  • Consistency is key. It’s easy to forget to update your Facebook page when you’re trying to juggle running a busy salon and take care of appointments, however with tools like TweetDeck you can schedule posts ahead of time. Post consistently to keep your audience interested and the more your followers engage with your posts, the more your future posts get seen.
  • Use video content. As well as your photos or plain text posts, be sure to include video content (tutorials, behind the scenes photoshoots, etc.) as they tend to have a higher organic reach due to the way Facebook’s algorithms are set.

Although it is tougher than ever to stand out in the digital world, never underestimate the power of loyal followers. With constant engagement and fantastic content, they can be converted into happy clients who will become champions for your online brand.
