How to Implement an Effective Loyalty Scheme

As you emerge from lockdown, an effective loyalty scheme is vital to make your services stand out. An attractive loyalty program will give something back to clients, making them feel valued and retaining them for the long haul. We therefore share our secrets on how to implement an effective loyalty system.

Assign loyalty points to treatments

Loyalty points are a quick and easy way for clients to build and then redeem against items. You can then assign these to your treatments, allocating how many points clients can build up by having that treatment and how many they will need to redeem that service. This is an effective way of managing client rewards, as shown in our useful video.

Consider loyalty tags

Branded loyalty tags bring a physicality to your loyalty scheme that puts your business front of mind. Using these tags, clients will be able to keep track of their loyalty points and use them to redeem products or services. Best of all, these can be used through your Premier Software system to make the process unified and easy.

Points to redeem gift cards

To keep clients interested in your loyalty scheme, it is vital to provide a variety of redeemable rewards. Whilst redeemable treatments make for a wonderful reward with enough points, it may be worth offering something that needs less loyalty points to redeem, such as gift cards. Clients can then gift these to friends or loved ones, or use these cards against a treatment, themselves.

Promote on social media

Once you have set-up your loyalty scheme, it is time to get the word out there. Social media is an effective way of promoting your program, what you have on offer and how to redeem loyalty points. This spreads the word to those already keeping an eye on your business and creates a buzz amongst clients.

Listen to client feedback

Finally, gauge the success of your loyalty scheme by getting feedback from clients. It is essential to listen to what aspects your clients appreciate and what parts you can tweak to make your offers as appealing as possible. Responding to client feedback can then strengthen their retention, especially when combined with other ways to build client loyalty.
