How to entice clients back to your business after coronavirus

COVID-19 may have closed the doors to the spas, leisure clubs and everything in-between, but it hasn’t closed the doors to your business for good. Now is the time to plan for your grand reopening and how you will attract clients back through your doors. Using just three or four points from our helpful guide, make sure you boost your chance of a successful reopening:

Keep calm

Current media coverage will often outline the worst possible outcome for your business, which is why it is much better to take a deep breath and keep calm. That way, you can rationalise the situation, run a report on what services weren’t working before your closed, and keep a handle on what you can do for the future of your business. You can then plan for both you and your clients’ needs for your grand reopening.

Maintain contact

Keeping clients aware of your business practices will relieve them of any uncertainty around when you are due to reopen. Newsletters, emails and SMS will have no doubt detailed your stance on coronavirus during the pandemic, and they will no doubt come in use for your reopening. Contact will assuage clients and keep them in the know during what is an unpredictable and difficult time.

Segmenting your data

Through running reports on your business, you can identify client trends, treatment popularity and plenty more. Segmenting your data in this way will not only mean you can see what was successful before your closure, but also allow you to effectively market to those most likely to benefit from revisiting.

Loyalty program

Bringing in your existing client-based is important – they know your services and cost less than a new client. After segmenting your data on those previous visited, you can decipher what treatments were popular and run a fenced discount on them to existing clients. You could then take this further by promoting add-ons such as a free bottle of wine or service when they purchase a package.

Group packages

An enticing reopening package will go a long way in bringing new and existing clients in. For example, a new spa package that focuses on group treatments like massages, facials, or even a class such as yoga would be incredibly appealing, as it encourages group activity after such an extensive period of isolation.
